So idk if this is our fault. Or what. Son was born in the middle of the pandemic so we were home all the time! He was never around kids his age or adults. Just my family…. Now I try to get him play dates or have him around other people/kids and he immediately hides behind me and puts his head down… And as soon as someone starts getting near him, with it be a little kid or grown up he starts crying, bad. He doesn’t talk, he just babbles so it’s hard to calm him down. He has a therapist who sees him for his speech and she says he’s just ‘shy’ that is normal. But I feel like it’s more then that…. But idk. … As a first time mom I get worried for my baby. He does lots of things that other kids his age don’t do. I work at a preschool so I compare him a lot. I know I shouldn’t, but it’s so hard. He makes lots of tantrums and gets violent when I try to calm him down for crying. Is this a normal 2 year old stage and I’m just stressing, or I’m doing good by worrying about it?
