Lotion? Baby oil?

Question

At what age should you start putting lotion or baby oil on a baby? 
Also any recommendations on natural lotions or baby oil?

i did not use lotion until my daughter was over a year old. her skin was so so soft so she never needed it. when she’d get rashes, i’d apply vaseline to her body but that was it. her pediatrician recommend i do not apply lotion until she is over a year old so i took her advice. 😁

I use lotion/baby aquaphor daily. My baby’s skin is super dry though.

Hospital told us with all 3 of our children that lotion is a huge No-No until 6 weeks and not to use it under any circumstance. I didn't ask why because I didn't care and don't use lotion. I only use lotion on my 3 kids (5, 3, 2) when they've been playing in the sun and/or the pool all day and therefore might need extra moisture. My 5 year old is allergic to most soaps, lotions, and sunscreens so I rarely do lotion on him unless he got a sunburn or his screen looks dry or feels itchy.

We used baby oil in baths from around a month and almost up to a year to not fry out the skin.
We've rarely used lotions unless necessary.
