Dating anniversary

My husband and I have been married for 15 years now. Today is our dating anniversary. Every year I tell him we should do something cute and go out to dinner. It’s just a funny memory. He said after 10 years we don’t need to do anything anymore. I just think it’s sweet and fun to keep doing something.

So tonight I sat in his lap and said happy 17 years together. He told me “it’s not an anniversary. It’s a wink anniversary. Like ‘happy anniversary’ wink wink.”

I asked him why every year he has to suck the fun out of it. He told me that he’s just having fun with it. I told him it super annoying. I didn’t say this but I know friends who’s SO’s take them out to dinner or get them flowers or do something small to be sweet on them on their dating anniversary. No it’s not a anniversary anymore because we’re married but I don’t know why he has to act like this when I’m trying to be cute and sweet. LORD knows we don’t do anything any other day of the year besides our wedding anniversary. Is it so bad for me to be trying to do something cute and sweet with my damn husband?! 😕
