Would you go to a BBQ you were not in initially invited to?

Last week, I was talking to a friend, C,and she asked if I was going to a BBQ event hosted by another friend, Y. Y and C are a lot closer to each other (or it seems). I also have not seen Y in about 2 years because of COVID. I said I was not invited to a BBQ and of course, have no intention of going if I was not invited.

Fast forward to a day before the BBQ, I get a random invite to the BBQ because C brought it up to Y. I appreciate the thought, but I don’t know if I should even go to this BBQ if I was not initially invited. It also doesn’t feel great to be invited at the last second.
