Moving and Money with partner

Hey girls,

So I’m moving in with my partner in a few weeks. I’m moving over 200 miles to do this and honestly very scared about leaving everything I know tbh but I’m excited!

Now the slight worry I have is money. I’ve saved enough to pay for my rent and I have some extra which will be gone fairly quickly to be honest for the first year so I’m covered for that but I am leaving my job to move. I work for a very small company and they won’t let me work remotely part time (offered part time as I’m going back to university) which is fine. If I can survive without a job, I’d prefer to focus on my masters and not stress too much (I have epilepsy which is quite sensitive to stress) but if I have to get a job, I will.

Now, my boyfriend expects me to still pay for things like meals out together and is planning holidays for the coming year. I’ve agreed to one and we’ve booked the hotel etc already so that’s paid for, but I said I can’t afford to go abroad when I don’t have a job. I said this to him and he got in a bit of a mood about it and said “oh fine I’ll just go with my friends then”. I said “if it’s going to be that much of a problem why don’t you just pay for it? You know I won’t be able to?” and said it about the expensive dates out etc. but I don’t know if I’m particularly in the wrong for suggesting that? It’s always been 50/50 (more 60/40 towards me treating him tbh) and he will be working full time earning a good wage. If it’s something cheap then that’s absolutely fine I can pay!

I don’t expect to be completely pampered but I don’t think it’s completely fair on me to be expected to pay for nights out and holidays with potentially no income and very little money😅

Please tell me if I’m being unreasonable or/and any suggestions to help discuss this properly because I have tried but just want some help😩
