How many ultrasounds do you get during ur pregnancy ?

I’m in Canada, Ontario. With my first I had 3 ultrasounds. One at 9 weeks, one at 14 weeks then one at 20 weeks. Is that the normal amount? I’m pregnant again, had my first at 9 weeks and my doctor hadn’t said anything about another ultrasound… currently 14 weeks. I don’t even have a OB yet, I asked her for the referral and page to book and do the ultrasound but I haven’t heard back for a while.

With my first I got 2, dating scan and 20 wk anatomy. But we had some issues so the last 7 weeks I was going twice a week for NSTs and once a week for AFI scans. So I had 9 scans with her. As more were necessary. 
With my son I only had 2. Dating scan and 20 wk anatomy scan. Some places will do a third trimester growth check if they think it's necessary, but 2 is pretty typical.

I'm in BC, normally we do 3. One at the beginning (dating ultrasound) around 8 weeks, one at 20 weeks (anatomy scan), one in the third trimester mine will be at 34 weeks (growth scan/making sure head is down) but normally they're closer to 37 from what I understand, however baby may come early so they're pushing things up for me. 
I actually ended up having 6 due to failed attempts at seeing the heart on the anatomy scan.

I’m considered high risk and also had some flags on my anatomy scan at 20 weeks so I have had one every month since 20 weeks. At my last scan though all the issues resolved and now baby is just measuring big so I will have one more scan next week and that will be it (I’m 36 weeks).

I'm in the US but here it is generally 2. The dating scan and the anatomy scan. That's how many I had for my first and third pregnancies. 
I had 4 for my second pregnancy because they were concerned my belly was too small. 
And I have already had three at my new facility by 17 weeks because they do them when they can't find the heartbeat on a doppler here.

I'm in ontario too and I had one at 12 weeks, 20 weeks, and that should have been the last one but they want me going back for more to make sure baby is growing properly (had IUGR scare because a dumbass technician didn't do his job at one of my ultrasounds) my fundal height was also off so they wanted to make sure but usually it's only two ultrasounds normally

If not considered high-risk, just two ultrasounds. 1st in your first trimester to confirm pregnancy. And 2nd at around 20weeks for your anatomy ultrasound. Possibly a 3rd if tech wasn’t able to get better views of certain parts of baby. 
If you’re considered high-risk, you can get multiple ultrasounds (as needed per MD)
