Is it PROM if I’m having contractions?

I’ve been having contractions all afternoon, and my water broke 2 hours ago (after hours of mild contractions). I talked to my doctor and I’m going to the hospital soon. I’m wondering though if this is considered premature rupture of membranes (PROM) since the contractions are still 15 mins apart? Or have I been in labor all afternoon? I know I sound stupid I just can’t find these answers on my own
