Unmedicated birth tips

With my first i was induced & immediately got an epidural. I only felt two real contractions. This next pregnancy I really want to go unmedicated due to issues with my first.

I asked my husband what he thought about me having an unmedicated birth this time, he laughed. I already am hard on myself and the fact he thinks I couldn’t do it makes me really worried.

I will be giving birth in the hospital. I don’t have money for a doula either. Are there any books you all recommend to help me learn how to cope without an epidural? I really want to do it but not sure if I can 😔
