How would you feel if you heard a daycare lady say this to a kid?

"If you keep crying like that I'm gonna tell your mom not to come get you". 
Maybe I'm overreacting but I feel that's wrong to say to a 4 year old and that's not a women I would want teaching my kids. I work I have worked in daycares  and we weren't allowed to talk to the kids that way.

I wouldn't leave my children anywhere where the caretaker was anything less than kind to my child. That's completely inappropriate and I'd report her ass and confront her then pull my child out of that place.

I wouldnt like it because a) calling mom shouldnt be a 'threat', nothing related to me should be a threat and b) if kid wants to see mom he may actually cry more to get out of daycare, so it isnt helpful.

I'd confront the Daycare lady. Remind her how she should mind her mouth and choice of words. And let her know this should be the first and last time something like that occurs AND you do not want to learn your child is being treated any differently than the other children, after this conversation. If it ever occurs again, I'd find another Daycare and in the meantime would report her to the head/owner of the Daycare.

Yeah my kid would no longer be going there and I would absolutely report that woman. You can’t threaten a 4 year old with being abandoned by their parent. That is damaging and I would also try and warn the child’s parent(s).

I'd be so pissed. My child shouldn't ever get the feeling that I won't pick him up under any circumstances, especially not because of showing big feelings (crying).
