Charter schools vs public schools? Which is better?

In your experience which is a better school for your child to attend? Also please explain what's the difference between the two? Pros and cons for each? Why is either one you chose the better option?

The positive to charter schools is they don’t have all the restrictions from the state so they can tailor their teaching the way they see fit. Therefore each school is going to be different. Public schools will be fairly consistent wherever you go in your state. 
Also remember every school is run by humans and as in any job you’ll have the good and the bad. As a public school teacher I do my very best to cater to every child and make everyone well rounded little humans. My reading growth has shown that every year. Not every teacher is like that so just remember not to paint a school based on one experience/one teacher. There are some of us that love what we do and love our kids!! 
Public schools are required to ensure every child gets an education. So you’re getting all kinds of personalities and behaviors. Like another poster said, charter schools can kick out any major behaviors…so environment will be very different in both. 
In the end research what schools you’re looking at and decide which you feel would best fit your child. If you do that, there’s no wrong choice.

So there are two versions of charter. One is like an alternative learning center for troubled kids and the other is for advanced, talented, or just better teaching methods.
My sibling agent to the good charter, the English program there (Riggs) had all the kids reading chapter books in kindergartner and they had all dyslexia kids reading at or above grade level which was an impressive feat🥳
Charter is typically better for the kids that go there, the major complaint is they typically can kick misbehaved kids out.
