Advice on talking with my mother

We do not have a good relationship. I moved out at 19, returned at 24 with my baby and she gave me a hard time about how she knew my relationship would never work and how he is a terrible father.

She also tries to control everything or comment on I do. For example, tonight I didn't have any veggies to give my son with his rice and chicken so she muttered under her breath how I never feed him decent.

Well I've been living with her 2 years soon and I've been looking for apartments as I cannot take her abuse and disrespect anymore. I've found an apartment and should be moving out for October.

How should I tell her I'm leaving? I know you don't know her personally, and tbh, it doesn't really matter what is said as either way she will make it about me being ungrateful and ill be back and blah blah. But I just find it so hard to say anything to her. She's always angry, theres never a right time because shes such a miserable person... I don't even know if I should tell her.
