Can the hospital get an O2 reading through acrylic nails?

I usually have a short set of acrylic nails, like barely longer than my natural nails. I just wanted to make sure that wouldn’t cause any issues in L&D.

Doubtful, unless things have changed since I've been in the medical field. Pulse ox has trouble even reading through regular nail polish if it's dark. We usually had to remove it to get an accurate reading. I wouldn't worry about it unless they say something though, and try to stuck with lighter colors

Yes. The pulse ox machine reads the bottom of your finger not through your nail.
