Should I be concerned?

I have been seeing this guy for about three months and things have been going great. He recently told me that there were a couple of girls he was talking to before meeting me and they kinda drifted apart or ghosted eachother and that he recently noticed them in contact list so he sent them a "it was nice to meet you, best of luck in your future endeavours" and deleted the contact. A part of me thinks it's sweet but another part of me wonders if it was needed after three months and so if that's a cause for concern. He says he has no issues with our connection and that he is content. Thoughts? Or am I just overthinking?
