My hubby doesn’t clean up after himself and I’m over it…what should I do?

Without going into a whole thing my hubby doesn’t pick up after himself (he will literally leave his clothes all over the floor) he doesn’t help me clean the house, etc. I’m pregnant and just so over asking for help. I am no longer going to be picking up after him. BUT I’m a clean freak at heart so this is hard for me to leave the mess. 
Should I just leave everything where he left it? Should I throw everything into a pile in the closet or something so I don’t have to look at it? Any ideas?

For the clothes I started only washing clothes that were in a hamper. When he realized I didn't wash his favorite shorts he asked why and I told him that I didn't know if he was planning to wear them again or not. They weren't in the hamper so I wasn't sure if they were dirty. I told him that I am not going around picking up random clothes and will only wash what's in the hamper. We only do about once load of each color once a week so if it gets missed it had to wait until the next week. Took about two weeks for him to realize I was serious and he'd hadn't done or since

Being pregnant and in the nesting phase maybe tough lol idk how far along you are but if you're still early then leave it there and continue to remind him to pick it up daily. 
Who cares if he gets upset when u keep saying it, just remind him that it upsets you seeing it all the time. 
Try to stay calm but stand your ground don't move it or give in or it's just going to continue.

I would do family clean up time every day eg after dinner you simultaneously pick up, clean the kitchen etc until it's done, including picking up clothes. I noticed with my kids they get tired of it, so they tend to be less messy when they participate in the cleaning, maybe it will work for him too lol.
