Hiding to do a poo - ready for potty training?

Question

My son is 2 exactly, for months he’s been running away to another room to do a poop in his diaper . Is this a sign he’s ready to start potty training? 
It will be difficult as he isn’t talking yet, and I’m not sure how much he understands as he’s in a bilingual household. 
Should we start trying or wait it out a few more months?

I would wait if that's the only sign he's giving. My daughter would tell me when she had to pee or poo but refuse to go on her potty. She actually has had a regression to where anytime she takes a bath, no matter if I sit her on her big girl potty before or not, she will NOT sit in the bath tub because she has to pee and it's been rough. She's 28 months btw.

My 2.5 year old has been doing this. Plus telling me when he goes, and will take off a dirty diaper, wakes up dry sometimes, but has zero interest in going.  We try constantly but he just flips out and refuses to use the potty. If your son shows interest then you can start, but don't force it if he is not into it yet.
