Toddler recurrent canker sores?

My toddler will be 2 in two months, lately I’ve noticed he’s gotten on and off canker sores. I don’t know any obvious reasons why, what could cause it?

The main cause of canker sires is the acidity of foods and juices or stress. I water try to water down juices a little bit for my kids, apple, orange and grape juice could all cause them. Using straws can help to avoid that from juices. Also anything with tomato such as ketchup or tomato sauces.
