Unplanned surprise pregnancy -how??

Question

I would like to know how many of you ladies have gotten pregnant snd it was a complete surprise. I have been married for 13 years without using any protection and never got pregnant! 
Am i missing something about the ‘accident’ part of getting pregnant. What does accident really mean? Precum, didn’t pull out on time, or pulled out and resulted in pregnancy. 
I just hear stories of how ppl end up getting pregnant by surprise and I seriously wish i could experience that.

we had just given up trying to get pregnant. stopped tracking. then one day i realized my period was late.

For me, I became accidentally pregnant when my boyfriend and I weren't using condoms and my birth control method unknowingly failed. We were in total surprise when I found out.

After my third loss, which was a chemical, we stopped trying, I stopped tracking everything and only knew about when I should have my next period, i stopped all of my supplements and prenatals and we had sex once all month. He did finish in me, so we weren’t preventing pregnancy but didn’t expect to get pregnant again the cycle after my chemical, but my period never came. Now I am 38 weeks.
