Bloody show? Labor soon?

I went to L&D triage lastnight because I had a tiny bit of spotting. They did a cervical exam and I was at 2cm.

An hour later (after no real contractions, just cramps) they checked me again and I had dilated to 3cm so they had me walk for an hour to see if anything picked up.

Well they checked me again (third time) and no change. Still 3cm, 70% effaced, stationed -2.

This morning I’ve been cramping all day long and have had brown spotting. Well I just had a huge brown mucus clump come out when I wiped. Is this normal?
