Airbnb problems

We’re not sure what to do. We rented an Airbnb for a few months to try to buy a house in a new area. We are getting overcharged honestly for what we are getting but that’s not exactly the problem. We are in an EXTREMELY hot area of the world where we need AC all day (unless we leave the house of course), especially because we have our 11 month old baby and we don’t want him to overheat. We are very frugal with how much and what temp we use the AC so as to not waste electricity. Well, the Airbnb host came and told us the energy bill was too high than usual (the energy bill was $25 for a WHOLE month) and next bill if it’s over the usual amount again, we will have to pay the difference. They also said they will do regular monitoring on our electric meter and make rounds to look at it. So we feel harassed and like we can’t even enjoy our stay that once again, we are paying WAY over priced (we didn’t know until we arrived that there are far less expensive options in way safer areas, but we didn’t know the area). I’ve called Airbnb support 3 times now and they say it’s been escalated to management so we can leave and find a new place but have never called me back and it’s been 3 days now. We are so frustrated and just want to get our money back for the nights we won’t be staying (we still have 2 months left of the stay). Idk what to do I’m so frustrated and stressed and the host cannot legally ask us for extra money when utilities are included in the monthly rate.
