Just curious what everyone thinks because I wasn’t able to have a proper baby shower with my first, I had a drive by due to Covid.

Gifts aren’t required, but celebrating a new baby is! :)

Everyone in your circle who you would invite would know you didn’t get a baby shower for your first due to Covid. I’d think they’d understand if you wanted to go all out for baby #2.

Everyone deserves to have a party and celebrate each baby. It doesn't matter if it is your 1st or your 7th.

I wanted to do something for second baby but my MIL who is normally very kind, made a comment that her side wouldn’t come to a second one so now I’m not having one at least for her side. 
Every baby should be celebrated. I would do a no gifts one and just have the in person experience.

Totally had a baby shower for my second this past weekend. 
No one seemed to have an issue with it. 
Our first baby we had a virtual shower because of covid so I wanted a regular shower. 
Anyone who tells you you can't have a babyshower for a second kid is a miserable person who cares more about etiquette made up by some dead white woman instead of celebrating a new life with their friends/family

Every baby deserves to be celebrated and you didn’t get a true shower for your first anyones. No one should judge and if they do - they don’t have to join in. 
I had a virtual shower for my first and it was sad. WiFi issues and just wasn’t what I had envisioned after 4 years TTC and IVF. 
If we decide to transfer our last embryo, I’m definitely going to have a real baby shower to celebrate.

We did a sprinkle for my second, it was smaller and fewer people were invited but my mom decided to have it at the same restaurant she had my first shower at, even though I wanted it more relaxed at my house because she didn’t want to put the extra work on me to get my house ready. I think every baby should be celebrated in some way; and I was happy to have one especially after having 3 losses after my daughter, I was so happy to have made it far enough to celebrate this new life.

We had one for our 2nd because a friend offered to throw it. We asked for books instead of cards and diapers. It's one of the best excuses to get everyone together to celebrate. Just had another friend offer to throw one for my 3rd.

We had a shower, during Covid too. This time we’re doing a “diaper sprinkle” because I didn’t feel comfortable making a second registry. We kept our stuff so we don’t really need much, we’ll need diapers so I’ll gladly take them and buy whatever else ourself
