What do y’all do

So for anyone who lives on the upper floor like 3rd how do y’all clean yalls patio floors lol. Like do y’all just let the water drop onto the bottom peoples balconies? Because my daughter plays with chalk on ours and when I try to clean it off with water it all goes down and some goes onto the people under me the 1st and 2nd. Can I get in trouble for this? I feel bad but idk any other way to clean my balcony floor.
