Teachers, how do you do it?

Question

Saturday I had my US and we saw an empty sack. I felt confident going in: no blood, no cramping , so many symptoms, a clear blue test reading 3+ weeks just that week. So bad news…. I was devastated. I started crying and haven’t stopped since 😔 😢 going back in next week to check and discuss options. Meanwhile I still feel so pregnant and miserable.
No one at work knows. I’m a 5th grade teacher and I just don’t know how I’m going to get through this. How did you get through it? 😔

Hey, there. I am so sorry for your loss. I am a junior/senior math teacher and I miscarried on August 18th during our first full week of school. I was absolutely devastated. I honestly don't know how I made it through and I still have really tough days that seem to be made even worse by being at school and being surrounded by so many people just carrying on with their normal everyday lives. It's so hard when it feels like a beautiful dream has been ripped away from you. I am leaning strongly on God, my spouse, and my parents. The support helps, but it unfortunately can't fix everything. We are praying for a rainbow when the time is right. I hope you find some comfort soon.

I’m going through this now. Last Monday, school was open for us to set up classrooms. Wednesday morning started bleeding. Found out through ultrasound it was a miscarriage. Went back in on Thursday and Friday because I just couldn’t handle my own head. I needed to stay busy even though I was breaking inside. 
For me, the first step is getting out of bed in the morning. The second step in putting my trust and faith in a higher power. If I don’t do this, I’ll just sink into negativity and anger. 
Everyone is different but a start is to always try to put one foot in front of the other and count your small wins as wins.
