I’m getting my placenta encapsulated. Anyone else?

I’m pre registered with this place to get my placenta encapsulated after birth. I had horrible post partum depression with my last baby and I’m so hoping this will help and ease those spikes in hormones like it claims to do😅 just curious if anyone else has planned to do this.

I have heard of ppl doing this but freaks me out the thought of eating it 😝. But when you find out that the hospitals are selling our placentas and making tons of money off of it.. yeah I want to take mine

I was initially set on doing it and now decided against it… I had only heard positive things when I first decided but turns out there are many risks too and little evidence to support the positives. Not trying to question your decision just mentioning in case you haven’t seen the other side, as I only found out recently and I’m 35 weeks

I’m having a homebirth with this baby and my midwife actually will encapsulate for me if I wanted. I talked it over with her and decided against it. She told me with all of her patients it’s a 50/50 vote on positive and negative. Some women it makes them feel better but she has women feeling absolutely psychotic from them too. I’d rather not risk it.
