What does it mean to work 'two jobs' and 'work full time and College full time'

Question

I'm from the UK and when I read that people here work two full time jobs- I don't really understand 1) how you do that 2) what it means? In the UK a full time job is 40 hours per week- so does that mean you all work 80 hours??? If so- how can you possibly get childcare to accommodate for this?
Also, our Uni courses are designed to take around 40-50 hours a week- lectures easily cut across the normal working day, so unless you work night shifts, I don't get how you fit it in- unless College works totally different in the US. We have some remote learning classes- so maybe you do this?

This is definitely a thing that happens (working 70-80 hours a week, full time is 35 hours+) but majority of the time it’s a full time job plus a part time job. Working 80 hours a week is technically possible but obviously you would have a very low quality of life, with no days off and several days a week where you basically only have time to work and sleep.

I know my friend in the UK she has two jobs which in return is a full time job and also does college (online and in the evening with live lessons 2x a week) 
I honestly think when people say they have 2 jobs work full means they have two jobs and them hours add up to a full time job

Working 2 jobs normally  means 80+ hrs. It's not that uncommon where I'm from.

When I finally get on my own (currently in the process of leaving my partner).  I was planning to combine my fulltime job with a part time evening job I will be doing from home when my kid sleeps.
Where I am a lot of courses,  definitely in adult schooling,  where several modules can be seperated so that you can reduce your weekly hours.

So when I was in college I had 3 jobs and full time school. One job I was on-call even in classes and would have to leave if Dispatch for the police called me to come to a detention center, one was for drug court and I worked with adolescent teens, and lastly for childcare at the university.
My schedule was 8PM-8AM first job, then go to classes and work daycare. Go to sleep at 2:30 PM-6PM go to my drug court job. I was able to do online tests at my night job and study. Weekends I worked only 2 jobs so made it a bit easier. I got really weird sleep schedule and was exhausted.
When I worked full time my schedule was Monday-Friday one job at a school and I did online schooling. Then weekends I worked 12 hours shifts. So total in a week I worked 70 hours and school.
It can be done not fun and tiresome but can be done.

Most people have a full time and a part time job. Also, i was a full time student (in the US full time is considered 16 hours per week), and had a full time 7am-3pm job. All of my classes were in the evenings and some that were online.

Oh man I have a lot of experience with this. My mom worked 2 full time jobs at one point when I was little. She worked one during our school hours, then she would pick us up from school, feed us dinner, and leave me with my older brother so she could work her night time job. She got about 2 hours of sleep a night, but had weekends off and would sleep in. 
She also worked full time, went to college, and had a part time job. She would work during school hours, we would go to one of our aunts' houses for dinner and the evening while she had evening college classes, then she would do her part time job on the weekends. 
She also worked a full time job and had 3 part time jobs at one point. She would go to her full time job during the day. At night she ran an in home daycare for toddlers, did massage therapy on the weekends, and did Avon in the evenings.

Some people work two jobs, one full time and one part time or two part time. It may be morning and evening, back to back, or work for two different businesses but only work a couple days a week for each one. Technically two full time jobs is completely possible, my dad has two full time jobs (he worked 6am-3pm and 8pm-4am, he would sleep between 4am and 6pm and napped for a couple hours when he got home at 3, then stay up with us for a few hours. My mom stayed home with us full time) 
It’s possible to work full time and then go to college “full time” because college is based off the number of credits. I believe it varies by college what they consider full time but for mine it was 12 credits to be considered a full time student. Classes are 3-4 a piece so I was a full time student even with only 3-4 classes. I worked part time when I was a full time student, but my husband worked nights full time, 60 hours a week (6 ten hour shifts, 10pm-10am) and went directly to class, had a break to sleep, and then had two more classes. He got done around 6pm every night and slept three hours. He only did it for one semester because of the burnout. While he was doing it our time together was spent on his day off with me helping him with homework, or I would come over and lay next to him while he slept. It wasn’t the greatest but we made the most of it. 
As for long hours, my husband only has one job, he works 6-7 days a week for 10-12 hours a day. Depending on what shift he’s on, usually if he’s on afternoons, he will work a 16. I am a SAHM because I’d only be bringing home a couple hundred dollars a month if we had to pay for childcare. My mom watched our toddler while I was working and completing school but she has her own full time job working from home and I’m due with our second in about a month, it’s unfair of us to have her watch our two kids and fit in work.

Sometimes people will have 2 jobs and work say 1 job 7-3 and the other job 4/5-11 . And others will work another job part time on your 2 days off . 
Were all broke here so we gotta work a lot 😅 
It’s not uncommon for friends, family, or people who just babysit kids for a living to watch our kids while we work since childcare is only open 6-5/6 & not on weekends and very expensive

Ive never read 2 full time jobs. Ive read 2 jobs (2 part time or 1 full time 1 part time), or full time job + full time school (college you can do full time with a full time job because the actual classes arent that time consuming, you just have to balance independent study/projects)
