Migraines with aura. Does anyone else suffer from them?

Hi beautiful ladies,
So, on July 31st had my first ever migraine with aura experience, aura lasted approx 15/20 min,full on numbing on the right side of my face including tongue and hand that lasted 5 min. Slurred speech.
As you can imagine the panic I had, went straight to emergency room, blood tests and ct scan came back as normal. Went to neurologist and was told it was a classic migraine. 2 weeks later the same thing happened. I was just relaxing from the fact it happened. It really is affecting me badly and I feel I know its nothing serious but I feel dizzy and lightheaded for a week after it happens. And now I cant help and think if another one will happen. Its a scary feeling. Im writing this as I feel so alone :( this feeling of uncertainty and feeling scared and so anxious sucks.

Aura is visual disturbance - weird that you had slurred speech. I get them 4xs a year. It’s scary because sometimes you don’t know when it will hit. For me it starts with a spot of light in my vision that grows until my vision becomes like blurry pixels. I try to read and points of my vision are so blurry I cannot see particular words or letters. Lasts 20 minutes but the migraine that comes after is Hell. Generally I’m useless for another few hours until it abates.

I used to get them very frequently and was even on a daily preventative med for migraines but it never worked for me. I'd have aura and I couldn't see anything but blurry what I call rainbow colors, it would last for like 20-30 mins I thought I was losing my sight when it first happened to me. Each person is different but Rizatriptan 10mg  is the only med that worked for me so I'm prescribed it for on hand when needed, previously made so many er trips for a shot of tordol I think it was and Benadryl.. they totally suck to deal with... I have had brain MRI's done, the eye doctors (multiple) have told me my eyes are perfectly normal so just my luck... It's always been my left eye that starts it! 😑

Yes happens to me. I also lose the feeling in my hands and feet. I do not get them that bad all the time but when I first started getting migraines they were always like that. It's best to try and figure out what triggers your headaches and it may be worthwhile to try some preventative medications if they happen often enough to disrupt life. After many different kinds of medications I found Aimovig and it was life changing. I went from having them every day to a couple times a month
