When did your dr start cervical checks?

I always refuse until actual Labor. 
But in my first pregnancy I think hey started offering at 37 weeks maybe

I asked yesterday at my 36w appointment. The doctor said they don’t do it until closer to the due date unless there’s a problem or signs I’m going into labor soon. I’m sure every office is different. He said they used to routinely do it earlier but it was unnecessary and uncomfortable.

With my first they started at 36 weeks. I would have had my first check at my 36 week appointment when they do my group b strep test but she asked me if I wanted her to check during my appointment today (34 weeks) because I had a preterm labor scare almost a week ago.
