FTM and baby's breastfeeding journey

Vanessa

I trip out every time I breast feed my 3 almost 4 mo. It's crazy how she has solely survived off my breast milk. Anyone else?

I was scared when I was pregnant because I didn't think she would latch, as I rejected my mother's breast and breast milk. I was a formula baby and my momma always jokes that that's the reason I'm a shorty (5'0)😄.

Once they gave me my babygirl after stitching me up, I put her to my breast and BAM! she latched. Not gonna say it was painless although a saving grace was silver nip cups, for me anyway.

It was definately a learning curve for us both. Not till about the middle of August did we start feeling comfortable. Trying different positions for feeds helped find our favorites. Right now our favorite is cradle hold and 🐨. How about you all?

One thing that is starting to hurt though, is my left wrist probably gonna get me a wrist brace for that!☺️

How's your journey going?
