Why does my Period feel off

My period was later than normal. When I had gotten it Friday night I noticed brownish discharge. Then when I whipped it was a light pinkish color. Then I whipped again and their was more brownish then light pink. There is also more blot clots than normal and my period just seems off or weird. Hard to put it into words but I know my body and this period is just off. It’s a regular flow whisk I never have n then staying light pink. I took a pregnancy test Friday morning and it came out negative.
