I took my bbt at around 5am right before sunrise rise and it was 98.61° then I went back to sleep and took it again and it said 97.74° which one is right?

What time do you usually take it and what time was the second temp taken at? Your BBT rises during the morning even while you’re asleep that’s why it’s so important to take it at the same time! If the later temp was the same time you usually took it, use that one
