I am currently 23 weeks pregnant. Well, my MIL knew I was since 4-5 weeks(<a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>) and would check on me all the way up til I was 6 weeks. Now she calls my husband to ask about us but I don’t see why she would just out the blue stop calling me 🤔 Her calling her son is perfectly fine, but…..

So we rented a venue (we paid for) and she knew about that, but never asked to partake in any tasks, etc. I had to reach out to her with our food menu last week to see if she wanted to get anything. She said she would, but I guess I just don’t understand why I had to reach out to her to ask when she hosted her other son’s baby shower 2 years ago and I helped with that too.

This is why I stopped contacting last year her because I’d always call her to check on her and I never heard from her unless it was a “hello” or her asking about me through my husband. So she realized i stopped reaching out and wanted to go to lunch (never happened). I’m just tired of always being the person that reaches out when I don’t get that in return.

Also, my mom asked if she can host our shower but unfortunately the location of the venue was too far for us or our guests to travel so hubby and I are hosting our own.

Am I overthinking this????
