Does your in-laws check on you during pregnancy?

Neither of my in-laws call me to ask how me and baby are. My FIL will ask when he calls my husband out the blue since he rarely calls him. My MIL stopped calling me early on during my pregnancy, but ask about me and baby through my husband 🤔

My in-laws have always been involved in our lives in a good way. We have a wonderful relationship. When I was pregnant, and even after, they would always check in and stop by. Same with my own parents.

In laws kind of suck honestly. Mine won’t even talk to me unless I talk to them first when I’m in the same room as them. They didn’t care when I was pregnant with my first and they won’t care now. Get friends that care about you. That is what helped me(:

Only when they saw me sometimes. Didn’t bother me. I don’t like people asking me about my health. I’ll tell them what I want them to know.

MIL isn’t part of our lives. FIL lives in another state and he uses Facebook messenger to talk to my husband, he usually asks how things are going. He’s only been back in my husband’s life for about a year so our circumstances are different than most.

Lol nope. I was texting her updates at the beginning of the pregnancy and she wouldn’t ever respond to them so I stopped. She only asks how I’m doing when she’s on FT with my boyfriend and says shit like “she can text/call me whenever she wants”.. Um miss ma’am why would I continue to try to contact someone who never responds? YOU can text ME. Until then stop acting like you actually give a shit. 🤷🏻‍♀️

All the damn time during my pregnancy. My son is the first grandchild for both set of in-laws so they were really excited and wanted to know what was going on. Though this is my parents fourth grandchild, I am the baby of the family so my mother and sister called me every couple days to see how I was doing and to make sure my seizures and other things weren’t stressing me.

My sister in law and I were pregnant at the same time (she delivered in July at 26 weeks, im currently 27+4) they pretty much only ever talked about her pregnancy in the group chat (I would try to send any ultrasound pics/vids I would have and just get ignored so I stopped) and rarely asked about me unless they saw me in person or asked about me through my husband but they definitely don’t go out of their way to ask about me or my son.
