seeing lots of gender reveals, anyone else waiting until birth? I’m getting so anxious and I still have so long to go

Yes, waiting till birth! Did it with our first and it was great! As an adult you don’t get many happy surprises! We made prediction cards to be filled out by family. Most, including we ourselves, got the gender prediction wrong and it was so cool 🎉

Wow so many more mamas than I thought in this group that are Team Green. I was feeling so alone because of all the posts about gender from Sneak Peek, NIPTs, early ultrasound, and gender guesses. It was such a magical surprise for us for our first kiddo, and we can’t wait to experience that again this time 💚

This is my second pregnancy, but first was a miscarriage. My husband felt really passionate about waiting - because it’s one of the only true surprises in life. 
It is SO hard at times though, not knowing who is in there; but I’m holding on to how special the moment will be when they are born! 
I’m convinced I’m having a boy, my husband doesn’t have a strong leaning one way or another and my parents and my in-laws are split 50/50 on boy/girl thoughts!

We found out with our daughter! She was a surprise, so I needed to feel some sense of control 🤪 But with this baby we are waiting and I feel more excited about birth not knowing. I’m just nervous my midwives/ultrasound tech will slip up 😬😂

I’ve always wanted to wait it out until birth but my births are always super scary and I never get to hold my baby right away and so it’s not like baby will come out and they will place baby on me and I’ll be able to see- they would immediately take baby and I’d still end up hearing it from someone else. Also- I think finding out the gender helps grow an attachment to the baby and you only have to come up with one name and not two.

I always like to find out at the 20 week scan- my logic is that when the baby is born you are just so relieved that the baby is born alive and healthy (and that I'm also not seriously harmed) that the sex of the baby is an after thought.
Whereas if you find out the sex halfway through the baby it's just a little added excitement and allows you to daydream and nail down a name.
I'm pregnant with baby number 4 and cannot wait to find out just so I know if I need to give away or keep boy or girl clothes.

I admire your strength lol I just can't help myself finding out the gender. I'm thrilled no matter what, but I just love learning everything I can about my babies. I feel like if I "get to know" them I can feel closer to them during pregnancy.
That being said, discovering baby's gender after they are born must be an INCREDIBLY special moment, one I wish I had the resolve to go for. Good luck on your journey, no matter what you choose!

I did with my first child. , Wait till birth. But this is my 4 and 5 children . Yes twins, so I want to know . They are enough of a surprise as they are 🥰🥰
