Son’s Birthday

We usually do my son’s party at his favorite park. It doesn’t cost anything, and he has a blast. This year he asked if he could have a bowling party. I went ahead and reserved it at our local bowling alley, but we ran into financial issues after. My husband’s truck broke down, we spent $500 for a shop to “fix it” and it broke down again two days later. Now we aren’t sure what’s wrong with it. We are car sharing, putting about $150 each week in gas and my husband is the only one that works. (I am expecting another child and searching for at home work, but no luck so far because I have no at home/office experience.) Anyway, my question is, would you still have his bowling party? It is $120. So far only 4 people are coming because we don’t have close family or support here, and 2 of them are not gift givers. I love picking his gifts but I can’t buy gifts this year and pay for his party. 😔 It is a 2 hour long reservation and I also have 5 other kids to watch, 2 are toddlers so I’m kind of dreading chasing them while pregnant around the bowling alley. I want my son to have the party he wants though. ❤️ I just am worried about him not getting anything for his birthday. He is turning 7 so he’s still at that age where he totally expects gifts. I’m trying to make him have a great birthday but also I’m basically broke. 😵‍💫 Help!
