Dating with two toddlers

Hi!

So I've been seeing and talking to this guy for a couple weeks now and he's fun to be with but I want to have "the talk" with him. I want to know how serious he is and if this will go anywhere if we continue to see each other. I've always been the one to never ask questions and let things flow as they may and it never ends well. At the same time I really like him and I'm afraid if I ask he won't answer or lie or tell me something I don't want to hear. We're still asking each other questions about ourselves but we haven't talked about expectations.

I have two toddlers btw and he has three older kids as well. Neither of us have met each others kids, which is fine cause I don't want to bring alot of people around my kids.

How do I talk to him without scaring him?? Lol

BTW I'm already self assured in what I want in a relationship. I've been single for about a year now and my healing process is 95% lol the other 5% is memories and my depression.
