This is very odd to post and it may be long but I’m trying to find someone that practices voodoo or knows a lot about it, someone that I can ask a few questions…. I am foreign from a small country in Europe and I live in the states. My FIL went to visit his mother in August and he came back with a gift for our daughter (she’s going to be 1 in a few days) the gift consisted of a dress and a handmade doll. The doll is made from some sort of stuffing and a sock. Recently, WEIRD shit has been happening in our home. My daughter refuses to sleep in her room and she wakes up 4-5 times a night as if someone is waking her up. Last week, she was asleep (around 8am) and I heard a voice on her monitor. I recorded it on my phone and and it sounds like a woman on her monitor is speaking and almost whispering. It sounds like someone asked “can you hear me?” This monitor IS NOT connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, the camera plugs in the wall and it connects to a hand held monitor the brand of monitor is infant optics. Prior to this incident, I felt super weird in her room for no reason, just an uneasy feeling. I’m also currently pregnant. The other night, I got out of the shower and my husband stated that he doesn’t think my daughter should sleep in her room, he heard something on the monitor again but couldn’t make it out and it freaked him out enough for him to move her crib into our room. She spent the night with us that night. I will attach pics of the “doll” I’d also like to note that she has a weird shape to her body- kind of like a hoof when you look at her upside down (could be just me) and she for some reason has fishing line wrapped and tied around her neck…. FUCKING WEIRD. I’m posting anonymous because this type of shit terrifies me and I do believe in voodoo.

I’d also like to note that my FIL is very innocent and he’s NEVER put my daughter in any type of danger, he’s not aware of any of this and I don’t plan on bringing it up. Any help is appreciated!

@JV the doll came from my FIL’s mother (my husband’s grandma- they don’t have a good history)

@JAJA the doll has been sewn together with thread, the fishing line is literally like a noose around it’s neck.

@Daughter of the King Thanks for the suggestion I definitely plan on getting rid of it asap! Yes. We’ve had things go missing and we’ve found them in odd places. We hear noises all the time downstairs when we’re upstairs in our loft area. Our cat also steers clear of her room if he goes in, he’s there for a few seconds and runs out. He has no other issues with the rest of the house. Our home is a new build, it was built last year and we’ve been the only people who have lived here. This is why I’m thinking it’s related to the weird sock doll.

@Kay I am from Bosnia. This is a known thing in my country as well. I don’t think I’m reaching too far honestly, it’s an honest concern of mine. I know many people may not understand this or might not believe in this stuff and that’s fine but I’ve seen it affect multiple people to not believe in it. Also, some people think that voodoo only happens with dolls but it doesn’t, it can be attached to any inanimate object(s)
