When you want to get pregnant but don't want to get pregnant

Question

I am a newly married 33 year old and I do want to experience pregnancy however I want to accomplish a few goals. My husband is excited for us to get pregnant and he wants it badly but I have communicated to him that we should wait a few more months. Deep down I am hopeful that we do conceive but every month that I receive my period I sigh a big sigh of relief (please don't hate me anyone trying to conceive). I do want a baby but is it too much to wait 3 months? I hope this resonates with someone

Coming from someone who felt relief at not being pregnant until that first moment I felt disappointed, take that as your sign to wait. I knew I wasn't ready because I felt to young and I wanted to enjoy being married to my husband and to just do anything we wanted when we wanted. I even started to think i would never want a baby because i was just enjoying life. But then I had my last pregnancy scary in July, and it was the first time I felt disappointed that I wasn't. I then realized how much I was ready to be a mom, and how much I was ready to have a baby, so we started trying and we got pregnant in September. If there is one thing I learned, that if it's not a hell yes, then it's a no lol. Take your time and enjoy life and express how you feel to your husband.

It’s not wrong to wait till you’re ready for a baby , becoming parents is a very life changing thing for a couple , and it’s just a few months not a few years..Speak to your husband about it I’m sure he’ll understand…

It's not wrong to take few months time but i just suggest you that don't get disappointed if you get pregnant. Take both of them postively. And if your husband is feeling sad about you not getting pregnant immediately just tell him to be patient as pregnancy won't happen immediately when you want. It really takes some time.

It’s not too much to wait. You could tell him you would like to start trying after the new year? It’s totally up to you. It can take a few months to conceive even for completely healthy, no medical/fertility problems! So I would keep that in mind! But I totally get where you’re coming from!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to wait, just keep communicating with your Husband and make sure you’re both on the same page and screw what anyone else thinks. If you rush yourself into having kids before you’re ready there’s a bigger chance you’re not going to enjoy motherhood and might even feel resentful

Realistically you have no idea how long it’ll take you to conceive. You can TTC now and get pregnant in June.
