What to give my kids to be thicker?

So i have a 2 year old he eats ok kinda picky.. but hes alittle skinny … 😫 i need him to get alittle thicker well the doctor told me .. and my daughter whoo is 6 months shes tiny as heck… what foods or what should i give them to gain weight

If the doctor said they are underweight did they not instruct you on how to care for them to help them get to a more healthy weight?

Are their doctors worried about their weight? I would be addressing this with their pediatricians first and foremost 💛

Healthy fats and make sure thet're getging enough calories. Your 6 month old should have a minimum of 24-32 oz a day of breastmilk or formula as those should be baby's nutrition source. Your 2 year old needs lots of healthy fats.

My pediatrician never expressed concern to me about my sons weight - when I expressed to him that I however was concerned he told me that my son has gained weight steadily at every visit and as long as he doesn’t start losing weight, he does not worry that he is perhaps slightly smaller than the average child his age. But he did suggest to me that if I was struggling to get him to eat regularly and I wanted to ensure he was getting an adequate amount of calories not just for nutrition but weight gain as well, I could give my son PediaSure. I took comfort in knowing even if he doesn’t gain weight any more than he typically would between visits, at least he was getting the nutrients and calories he needs because much like you tot, my son was and still is incredibly picky. Now that he’s almost 4, he’s certainly expanded his pallet and is more open to try new things - but meal time is still a struggle occasionally. Whereas my daughter is half his age, is a totally garbage disposal, and weighs nearly as much as he does and is almost as tall as him as well, coming in at the 97th percentile for her height 😅 so I have two polar opposites lol
