Should I send him a good well package?

I've been seeing this guy lately. I was a little taken back by the fact that he didn't have a job and lived with his mom. But I did still want to get to know him so we went out to a coffee shop and I paid. I found out the reason he didn't have a job was because at his last job which was in construction he got hurt really bad because not only was their equipment faulty. They had a man running it who had a brain tumor. I could tell he had gotten some type of injury. He's a very handsome man but one side of his face is fine and the other side, mainly the area around his eye is extremely fucked up and I don't mean that to be rude. He almost died in this hospital and suffered brain damage . He moved back in with his mom because he was gonna need a lot of help. His old job gave him a settlement which has mainly been going to hospital bills which is why he doesn't have a whole lot of money to spare because he had another surgery coming up and all his surgery is coming up which he just had. It's like his 8th surgery. He had that surgery Friday and the last message I got from him was a pick of him in his surgical gown and him saying "Pray I still have my eye". I went on his mom's Facebook and everything seemed to have gone well and she posted a video of him talking on anesthesia lol. I haven't heard from him so I think he's still healing up. I was wondering if I should send him a small get well package.
