Insurance only covers $75 towards breast pump?

Hi has anyone else had this I contacted my insurance and they said they only cover $75 a year towards your breast pump and you have to have a prescription for them to cover the $75. I thought they were supposed to at least cover the cost of a inexpensive one. I live in California and have anthem blue cross for insurance.

I have blue cross as well but they covered majority of the costs i think i paid maybe 60$ for the spectra s1. 
Are u getting this info from blue cross directly or an online breast pump website?

I have had 2 pregnancies and my insurance has covered everything. I have never heard of only covering like that. I had to pick from whatever there choices were. But I got a spectra and a Medela so pretty good brands.

What?! That’s crazy! I have BCBS Federal and they at least pay for 3 different ones (one per calendar year and a ton of storage bags every 90 days). I mean they’re not like Willow, Spectra or Medela or anything super fancy, but that’s better than nothing. I don’t even need a prescription for one. My mind is just blown your BCBS plan only covers $75 towards one. Wow.

My insurance sent me a brand new electric pump free of cost. (I looked up the cost, $169) I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket. I am also waiting to receive my free brand new car seat, diaper bag as well as diapers. I guess it all depends on where you live and the type of insurance you have. I have Carolina Complete Health.

Felt that. I have blue cross of Tennessee and they’ll cover like $15 for a manual.

I don’t have the same insurance nor do I live in California, I live in Texas and realized my Medicaid didn’t give out good ones. It seems like the max for mine is close to yours which is a $100, and the one they try to send out is cheaper then that. It also has terrible reviews so I don’t understand why there even given out, to just break.
