Tipping culture
I grew up in a country that did not have tipping system. I moved to US, and worked as a waitress for awhile to help with school. I HATE the tipping system. I worked at a buffet that was about $5 lunch, so my tip is usually $1.
Now, this is why I hate it. You could be working at a high class restaurant that costs $100/ meal and get $20 for less amount of work. I am not even talking about Michelin star. I have always tipped min 20%, but this system is screw up.
Buffet servers have to fill up drinks like min 5 times and collect dishes very often. I also had to do side work, and I had to divide my tip with the bus boy. Tipping system is unfair. Your thought?
