Getting off the pill after 11 years

Bella

Hey everyone,

I know I’m experiencing dependency on the pill because I can’t bring myself to discontinue using it after so long. I’m starting to experience side effects that are well known to come up after long term use - trust me I researched in and out and went to my doctor for her knowledge. Varicose veins, hair loss, unexplained moodiness and just some other bodily issues that I guess I can’t really put my finger on what the problem is but I know I’m “off”. The longest break I took from the pill was 6 months, years ago and I remember clearly how balanced and good I felt.

The only difference is now that I’m in a relationship, going on 1 year so still fresh and I know an accidental pregnancy would nottt be ideal lol (not that it would have been okay before but I don’t want to speed up this relationship with a baby, we’re at a healthy pace) However I’ve learnt a lot about tracking my cycle naturally and using eve lol obviously so part of me is confident I can make the right decisions but I’m so paranoid because I’ve had this “safety net” for so long.

Can anyone share their success stories or even mistakes they’ve made when transitioning off of the pill??

I would love some real world experience to learn from! ❤️
