Can someone tell me what happens after vaginal birth? As in how long does it take to heal? Will I bleed after? If so how long could it be? (Ik everyone is different share ur experience please)  also how long until I can have sex again? Does everyone poop when giving birth?

I’ve had three vaginal births & each time the heal & bleeding time was different. My first I tore the most & took about a month to heal and I had bleeding for 5-6weeks. My second I had a minor tear & it still took about 4weeks to heal like where I felt normal & I had bleeding for 4-5weeks. My third I didn’t tear at all & barely had any bleeding & literally in a week I was back to basically normal. You can’t have sex for 6-8weeks depends on your doc. This is really important as you don’t want an infection.

For me the bleeding usually started to lighten around 3 weeks pp recovery wasn’t bad just the bleeding and wearing pads is annoying its like you have a heavy period

I think I was done bleeding by 4 weeks postpartum. I felt pretty good after giving birth to be honest. A lot of people have trouble with the first poop but I didn’t. Please don’t have sex for the 6 weeks that they recommend because you have a gaping hole inside of you and it really is a risk for bad infection, it’s just not worth it.

Not everyone poops during birth, maybe try going poop at home while your comfy before heading to the hospital if you're worried. I was cut and got stitched up and I stopped bleeding before my 6 week checkup. It took me several months to heal and sex wasn't enjoyable till about 8-11 months later because I was super dry down there from lack of estrogen.

I was completely done bleeding & my stitches were healed by around 4 weeks postpartum. I did not have sex until around 7 weeks pp, most drs will not clear you until you are 6weeks pp. But everyone is different. My sister is still bleeding at 10weeks pp.

The biggest thing I remember is pooping is scary! It feels like everything is gonna just fall out the first few times trying to poop 🤣

I pooped but then it's completely normal you are pushing down into your bum, I tore and got a infection so hurt like mad and took longer to heal, and bleed for 4 weeks then got my period back 26 days after

Pooping should be the last of your worries lol I pooped the smallest amount with my 1st and didn't poop at all with my 2nd. They just get rid of it. You may not even know you've done it. I have bled on and off for almost 8 weeks both times. You wait to be cleared by your doctor for sex, usually around 6 weeks give or take.

Your recovery can depend on a lot of things—whether or not you tear, how bad the tear is, how fast baby comes, how long you push for. I had a fast pushing phase with a 1st degree tear (least severe—tears range from 1st to 4th degree), which meant I had some stitches. Whether you have stitches or not, even if you have a c section, you will have vaginal bleeding due to the wound left in your uterus from the placenta detaching. It will be a few weeks of heavy bleeding and then it will taper off. You should wait for your doctor to examine you and clear you for sexual activity to reduce the risk of infection. It is common to poop during pushing, but a good doctor/nurse team will simply wipe and keep moving. You most likely will never know. No one is announcing it lol.
