Does pap smear hurt?

I have an upcoming schedule and I am nervous. Does it hurt? What did you do to prepare for it?

No real prep (wear lose clothes that are easy to get on and off and I find that I bring a panytliner for after might be some spotting ) Just have a shower the morning of, they will talk you through it
It doesn’t hurt but it is briefly uncomfortable so just take a deep breath and will be done before you know it

They don't hurt. Just make sure to shower before your appointment & you'll be fine. There's really nothing to it

It shouldn’t hurt, but it’s very uncomfortable imo… I suggest taking some wipes and panty liners for after it’s done. And bring clothes that’s easy to take off an on. At the drs office I go to, they have you completely undress so they can check your breasts for lumps before doing the pap.

It is a little uncomfortable. Little cramps mainly l. But it’s over in 3 minutes. Like start to finish

Not at all! They have you undress from the waist down and legs into stirrups, speculum to open you, and they use what looks like a long Q tip! Quick and painless

No prep needed.
It dosent hurt. It's so FAST that by the time you spool yourself up to get nervous, it's already done. It feels strange...like being scratched in a place you didn't even know existed on you body...but that's the extent.
