Fireworks and Veterans?
I was talking with a friend recently about holiday traditions. When talking about the fourth she mentioned her family did not do fireworks as it tended to make her veteran family members nervous and uncomfortable. Some more than others. I had never thought about this before…
Do you think it’s okay to use fireworks and things as a way of celebrating freedom? Or do you think it’s insensitive to those who have sacrificed for us and may have repercussions due to this?
Not really controversial, but it was truly something I hadn’t thought of and it really has me wondering. What are y’all’s thoughts??
