Anti-semitism on the rise
They say it could never happen again. One of my Jewish friends got this through her mailbox. Other similar messages were posted through mailbox’s in other places in Los Angeles. So what can you do to show your support to your local Jewish community. Ask questions and learn. I’m huge believer in a lot of hatred comes from ignorance. Generally if you ask a Jewish person about the reason why we do certain things, they will always answer your question. When anti-semitism occurs speak up against it. The bottom picture is of signs that were on 405 interstate going south. So Jews currently make up about 2.4% of the adult US population but currently we receive the most amount of religious hate crime. When we to Shul we have people standing outside guarding, my kids school also have guards posted at the doors. It’s not normal. We shouldn’t have to live in fear of anyone. The younger generation is forgetting about the horrors of the Shoah (The Holocaust). Jews don’t get to forget. In a survey done in 2020 23% of US adults between the ages of 18-39 believed that the Holocaust was a myth or was exaggerated. Almost half couldn’t name a concentration camp. I am of the belief that everyone should go to a concentration camp at least once in their lifetime.
