MIL is blaming my cat for something I KNOW he didn’t do.

As some people on here know, we moved in with MIL due to some issues. We took our cat (Cactus) because our daughter and him grew up together and are attached to one another. My MIL was NOT fond of this because she dislikes owning and cleaning up after animals.

We clean up after cactus and make sure he’s not getting into trouble. He’s a good boy, a little bit hyper but never a troublemaker. Apparently he ripped one of MIL’s shirts. He’s not allowed in her room as it is, has only been in there a handful of times with one of us in there. He’s never torn clothes before even when they’re hanging above him, let alone on a dirty bedroom floor. This pisses me off because cactus is my son. She’s blaming my son for something I know he didn’t do. She’s had it out for him since we got here. Apparently he knocks stuff off the table, rips open bread, toilet paper, and clothing. She knowingly has mice too.

He’s scared of her table because it’s glass. He once fell through a glass table so he refuses to step onto it, the closest he’s gotten is the chair. Cactus pukes violently if he eats bread, we haven’t cleaned a single pile of puke. Cactus likes HANGING toilet paper. The toilet paper he supposedly ripped is literally 2 sheets long every time. Once again cactus has never ripped clothing. Her dryer rips our clothes all the time.

Here’s the conversations with my fiancé on the matter too. Btw, these messages aren’t me targeting him! We also ARE NOT ARGUING.

PS, THE ENDING IS A JOKE. I mentioned we’re not getting rid of him because she wants cactus gone. I honestly can’t believe she’d stoop this low just to make an animal, a really patient and good behaving animal, seem like a bad one.
