Natural or Synthetic IVF cycle ?

What type of cycle are you doing ? My doctor is recommending a synthetic cycle for me which includes taking estrogen pills and then progesterone shots to thicken the lining . I have one embryo so I’m really hoping for this to be it for me . I’m not well versed on the pros and cons to both cycle so would love to hear what your cycle is like and how it’s going.

I did 2 synthetic cycles. The first failed and I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant with our second transfer! We did 24 hours more of progesterone before the second transfer. If you only have one embryo has your doctor talked to you about doing a mock cycle with ERA testing?? That way you have the best shot with knowing exactly how many hours of progesterone you need at the time of transfer. Some people need to “normal” protocol but others need less or more time on it

It really is just your preference. 
One follows your natural cycle, one uses medication to suppress natural ovulation and thicken your lining and to simulate ovulation. 
Things to consider are how regular your natural cycles are, if you ovulate on your own each month, if you have a good luteal phase or not.
