No luck on #3

So we have been TTC our 3rd child for 5 months now. AF is due day after tomorrow. I tested negative with first response this morning. If this cycle is unsuccessful yet again, when should I talk to my OB? I am almost 29, had two easy healthy previous pregnancies that we conceived quickly. Last pregnancy ended in emergency c section though due to prolapsed cord. Should I wait a whole year before talking to her? I would be much closer to 30 years old by then. I know it’s rare but now I’m worried all the ripping into me during the emergency c section messed something up😔
