ER doctor was condescending and told me to go home?

I went to the ER for light sensitivity and headache (temple and eye) because I thought that I was having a stroke from possibly injuring my neck by hitting the brakes too hard while my neck was in an awkward position. I got pins and needles feeling in my neck all the way down to my arm that comes and goes so made me panic. The neck pain is sometimes a shooting pain in the front right side of my neck. The neck pain lasted for a week but the headache/light sensitivity happened today.

They literally gaslighted me by saying I wasn’t sensitive to light because I could use my phone lol. When light literally hurts my eyes and this has never happened to me like that before not until the neck thing but I don’t know if there’s any correlation. Then they told me book an appointment with a neurologist and then just prescribed me painkillers. Does this sound serious?
