How much should I use formula for a 6 weeks old baby who also gets breastfed as well?

I have realised that my baby feels hungry with only 3oz(90ml). So when I top up another oz (30ml) that fills him up and he falls to asleep. My only concern is overfeeding. Should I fed him the 4oz(120ml) or stick to 3oz(90ml)?

If baby eats 4 with no huge issues like spitting up huge amounts I would stick with 4. It's a lot for a 6 week old but he might stay at 4oz at a time for months. There is no real reason to not feed him. If he's hungry feed him more. :) promise you won't overfeed him.

i would go by baby's cues/behavior. my son is combo fed and we typically offer 4oz (he's also 6 weeks old) every 3-4 hours, then he will take a little less at night and sleep two 4-5 hour stretches. depends on the babe. sometimes he wants to eat smaller amounts more frequently, other times he wants to eat larger amounts less frequently. but i go by how he is acting (it's also beneficial to start with less in the bottle and then adding more throughout his feed if he's still hungry so none goes to waste!)
